St. Ann's Parish is spiritually enriched by the activities of several volunteer adult societies and organizations that are devoted to living God's word and sharing how God has touched our lives. Their programs help foster the spirtual richness of our Catholic tradition within the Parish while enjoying comraderie and spending time together as a group.
These groups are open to all people in the parish who thirst for God's word in living their daily life.
Holy Name Society
The mission of the Holy Name Society is to keep the name of Jesus Christ alive in word, action and deed. Meetings are held the second Sunday of each month (alternating between St. Ann's & St. Sylvester's ) at 11 a.m. in the church rectory. For more information, call St. Ann's at 718-351-0270.
Rosary Society
The primary purpose of this society is to praise and honor the Blessed Virgin and to secure her patronage by the recitation of the Rosary for the spiritual benefit of all members throughout the world. Meetings are held in the rectory hall on the First Saturday of each month, except during July and August following the 8:00 am Mass. dues are $5.00 a year.
Golden Age Club
Are you a senior citizen and like brief meetings, playing Bingo or cards? The meetings are in the rectory hall every Tuesday after the 9:00 am Mass. The group has several in-house lunches to celebrate different holidays as well as restaurant celebrations twice a year. Dues are $5.00 a year, plus $1.00 at the door to cover refreshments and a $1.00 raffle ticket.
