Saint Ann School has been awarded two full day Universal PreKindergarten classrooms starting September 2015. Mrs. LaBargo, Miss Michele, Miss Pat, and Miss Connie will remain as part of our UPK staff. An additional teacher and aide will be announced as soon as I am allowed to give that information.
Both existing classrooms are being refurbished with new equipment and UPK centers. Children will be able to move freely at their own pace and learning styles facilitated by the lead teachers and her assistants. Hours will remain the same: 8:15 AM - 2:20 PM. Children will be given a hot lunch and snack daily with time in between to rest. Please look at the Uniform Section of this website and purchase the Saint Ann School Gym uniform for everyday wear for our UPK participants.
Religion is not part of the UPK guidelines, however, for those who want to, you may come early at 7:45 along with the rest of the school and participate in a Religion class with other preschoolers. This will run from 7:45 until 8:10 on a daily basis. The only thing we ask is for consistency. More information will be forthcoming when UPK begins. The first day of school for our littlest members will be September 9th.
The preschool philosophy is to encourage independence, help develop listening and concentration skills, build self-confidence and instill within each child a love for learning.
